In February 1941, Andres Soriano along with other businessmen founded the national airline and flag carrier of the Philippines, Philippine Airlines (PAL)
Philippine Airlines became Asia's first airline, first taking off on March 15th, 1941 from Makati to Baguio. After 5 years, in the month of July, PAL became the first Asian airline to cross the Pacific, taking off to Guam, Wake, Kwajelein and Honolulu. After 5 months (Decemeber 1946), services from Manila to San Francisco began.
As of today, PAL has six types of operating fleets.
From their smallest fleet, the Airbus 319-100 which has a capacity of 132 passengers ...
... to their biggest fleet, the Boeing 747-400 with a capacity of 427 passengers.
